The warm-up and rehearsal phase of Guns N ‘Roses for your big 2025 tour has started. Before the originally planned start in Saudi Arabia, there is now a small round of Asia on the program, which is now beginning on May 1, 2025 in Incheon/South Korea. Additional dates in Japan, India, Thailand and Bahrain were announced last week.
All of this will take place without drummer Frank Ferrer (59), who will finally go his own way after almost 20 years. The Roses camp published an online statement without floral details. The step was advertised as a departure without anger and stress.
“Guns n ‘Roses announce the mutually agreed departure of Frank Ferrer, the longest -serving drummer in their history,” it says. “The band thanks Frank for his friendship, his creativity and strong presence in the past 19 years and wishes him every success for the next chapter of his musical journey.”
No iconic personalities on drums
And further: “Frank joined a live show by GNR for the first time in June 2006 and supported the rhythm section on all the following tours. Including the recent appearances with the reunited trio Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan. His last show with the band took place on November 5, 2023 in Mexico.”
