3 projects are awarded a definitive allocation of € 182.2 million from the National Growth Fund. Minister Beljaarts of Economic Affairs and Minister Heinen of Finance decided. It concerns the LLO collective low -skilled and low -literate people, aviation in transition and GroenvantNL. In addition, the ministers, who are fund manager of the Groeifonds, agree with a change in the QuantumDeltanl project. With these investments, the government is taking an important step in supporting innovative projects that contribute to the economic growth and social progress of the Netherlands.
The projects that now receive a final contribution from the Groeifonds come from the 1st and 2nd round of the fund. At the Cabinet’s request, the projects tightened their plans and submitted additional information to be eligible for a definitive allocation. The National Groeifonds advisory committee has assessed the submitted proposals and issued a positive advice. The Cabinet has taken over this advice and decided to give the following award:
- LLO collective low -skilled and low -literate people will receive a definitive allocation of € 42.9 million. This project develops regional training offerings and a new way of recruiting for low -skilled and low -literate people, so that it is easier to move on to vocational education or the labor market.
- Aviation in transition is aimed at making the Dutch aviation sector more sustainable to a climate -neutral Dutch aviation in 2050. The project will be awarded a definitive grant of € 34.3 million. A grant of € 11.4 million also remains conditional, with a decision moment in 2027.
- GroenvadenNL will be awarded a definitive grant of € 105 million for pilots, demonstration projects and scaling initiatives. Part of the earlier award remains conditional. The aim of GroenvadenNL is to support and accelerate the transition to large -scale use of green hydrogen in Dutch industry.
- The Quantum Delta NL project focuses on strengthening the Dutch Quantum ecosystem. Quantum technology is a key technology that radically makes new products and services possible. For the project, the Cabinet agreed to a proposed reprioration and sharpened programming. The changes include a focus on core activities and an improved governance structure.
Next steps
The budgetary processing of these decisions takes place at the Spring Memorandum 2025. The awards will be final after the parliament approval. The contributions can then be used for the implementation of the projects and the following phases of the innovations.
