“Pretty crazy”
Norwegian sets up biathlon world record

Martin Uldal is known as a fast shooter. The biathlon star again demonstrated this in Pokljuka last weekend.
The mileage of a biathlete can still be so good, but if it does not work on the shooting range, the end result is not correct either. It is known that both work well for the Norwegians. In the single mixed relay at the World Cup in Pokljuka (Slovenia), Martin Uldal demonstrated.
The 23-year-old did not show a perfect shooting performance. For this he was ready in the standing stop after 12.5 seconds. A new best for the Norwegian and an unofficial new world record. The previous best value with 12.9 seconds made of high felting also kept Uldal. Officially, the world record is not only because the International Biathlon Union (IBU) does not lead a list to the fastest shooting times.
Afterwards he explained that he found his performance as “pretty crazy” and added: “I already managed to shoot quickly in my career. But that was faster again.”
However, he was unable to win a medal with his relay partner Ingrid Landmark Teldrevold. The 28-year-old had to complete four penalty rounds-too many for a place on the podium.
