Dior opens a new store in Vienna.
The French luxury fashion house moves into the Tuchlaubenstrasse in the Golden Quarter, Dior said last week. The shop with an area of more than 1,000 square meters was opened on March 8.
The shop designed by architect Peter Marino houses the women’s and men’s collections from Dior as well as shoes, bags, accessories, jewelry and perfume. In addition to a stylistic dialogue between the past and the presence of the fashion house founded in 1946, the business is also particularly characterized by a variety of works of art.
The art, which the fashion house describes as a tribute to the passion for the creation in all forms of founder Christian Dior, includes works by artists: Inside like Claudia Wieser, Christian Eisenberger, Rudolf Polanszky, John McAllister, Maysha Mohamedi, Ross Bleckner, Donald Sultan, Étienne Moyat, Franck Évennou, Marc Swanson and Philippe Pasqua.
