The scandal about manipulated suits in ski jumping is still a big issue after the suspension of five Norwegian stars. The former four-hill tour winner Dawid Kubacki now claims that it has long been speculated that something could be wrong with the Norwegians.
At the Nordic Ski World Championships 2025, the Norwegian ski jumping team with a manipulation of the equipment ensured a huge scandal, which resulted in the suspension of five athletes and World Cup participants. On secretly recorded moving images you can see how the team illegally edited the competition suits in the presence of the now suspended head coach Magnus Brevig.
However, this unveiling with the competition apparently did not cause astonishment. “I am not particularly surprised. What surprises me is that they would take such a high risk,” the Polish superstar Dawid Kubacki told the “Dagbladet” and followed: “There were rumors about the Norwegians. It was only a matter of time before they were caught.”

“We knew that they had something strange in their suits. Nobody really knew what it was,” said the 35-year-old, who has no pity with the Norwegians: “You brought yourself into this situation and have to accept the punishment. The next time you try to cheat, you will think twice.”
In Poland you “noticed a few years ago that you can do it this way (stiff thread in a suit). But that goes far beyond the target,” emphasized the veteran. Words that are currently not going well in Norwegians, where the ski jump circus is currently going as part of the RAW Tour station.
“This is very strange. I didn’t hear a suspicion of anyone. This season was talked about other nations,” said sports director Jan-Erik Aalbu: “This is completely new to me. If you have been suspected, I can’t speculate about it. But for me it is definitely something new.”
