Sad news from German equestrian sports. A young talent of youngsters lost their lives early.

The German equestrian sport mourns Madlen Boy. The talented show jumper died at the age of only 19 after a tragic training accident. This was announced by the Hannover equestrian association.

The accident occurred on March 6th during a training session. So far, nothing has been known about the exact circumstances. Despite immediate first aid measures and the quick arrival of a emergency team, Boy succumbed to her injuries. All security standards were observed during training, according to an Instagram post by the Hanover equestrian association.

Boy was considered a promising talent in the youth squad. She had recently successfully completed her training as a horse host and then worked in the training and sales stable of the Japanese show jumping rider Tadahiro Hayashi in Rheine (Westphalia).

Katharina Gausmann, chair of the discipline committee jumped in PSV Hannover, paid tribute to the deceased in the Instagram post: “We can not yet believe the news of Madlen’s death. She was not just a particularly talented rider, but a very happy, helpful and binding person-simply a real sunshine that always made everyone laugh.”
