Ajax was eliminated in the Europa League on Thursday. The Amsterdammers lost, with many basic players on the bank, the away match against Eintracht Frankfurt 4-1. Last week Ajax had already lost the match in Amsterdam against the Germans 2-1.
Jean-Mattéo Bahoya shot the current number 4 of the Bundesliga in the seventh minute. Mario Götze hit goal in the 25th minute and Hugo Ekitiké scored the third goal of the home team in the 67th minute. The substitute Kenneth Taylor signed in the 78th minute for 3-1 and Götze set the final score in the 82nd minute.
Ajax finally played 32 million euros together this season in the Europa League. With preliminary rounds, the Amsterdammers played a total of eighteen European matches.
