SSV Ulm broke up with promotion coach Thomas Wörle. This was announced by the relegation -threatened second division club. U19 coach Robert Lechleiter will train the team until the end of the season. The full focus applies to relegation. Assistant coach Max Knauer and athletic coach Christoph Zellner were also released.
“This is not a nice day for all of us. But every club, every manager, every trainer comes in such a situation. And that has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation or the like. On the contrary. I thank Tom and his team for everything you did for our club, ”said Managing Director Markus Thiele.
Ulm is currently the penultimate and has four points behind the relegation place. Of the 25 games of the season so far, only three were won. In the pre-season, Ulm was marching as a regional league promoted by the 3rd league and ended the season as a master with a big lead. Wörle has looked after the sparrows in 151 games since 2021 and scored an average of 1.88 points.
