The decision in the penultimate Super-G of the winter became a narrow box. In Kvitfjell’s Norwegian, the Italian Dominik Paris raced over the course shortened because of fog for his sixth World Cup victory on the Olympic cup. James Crawford rushed in second place. Third was surprisingly Miha Hrobat (Slovenia).
After the victory in the downhill in the Super-G, Paris celebrated the second victory of the weekend and its 24th of his career. With 38 hundredths of a second lead, he referred the Canadian James Crawfod to second.
Hrobat pushes or matt from the podium
The Slovenian Miha Hrobat then snapped the third podium. Ski superstar Marco Odermatt. The Swiss just missed the podium by a hundredth of a second. The 27-year-old had previously secured the small crystal ball for the Discipline World Cup.
In the overall World Cup, he is in front of his fourth triumph. Here the Swiss is 570 points ahead of Henrik Kristoffersen (Norway), who usually only drives slalom and giant slalom and has little chance of good results in the speed disciplines.
Baumann just in the top 20
DSV speed driver Romed Baumann, who had already made it to the season finale in the American Sun Valley the day before, would have needed a strong top 15 placement at the Super-G. With 19th place, however, he missed the chance to be among the 25 best of winter in this discipline.
