If the predecessors, Blue Hearts, a (political) protest song album, who was deserted at the end of 2020 in the last breath of the first Trump administration, was not pursuing such explicit agenda four years later. But the madness of our times has left traces on here we go crazy.
The one creative half by Hüsker Dü and the main initiator of Sugar gives us a dramaturgically segmented, thematically loose -loving song collection, which begins conflict loading, runs through the soles of the valley and in the end the light in love: “If the world is going down in Fames / I Wanna be by your sides / we can Find a quiet place / it does not need to be the Albert Hall ”, the 64-year-old Sonorer sings than usual in the dynamically exhausting final of“ Your Side ”.
Otherwise, Mould-by bassist Jason Narducy and drummer Jon Wurster again congenially accompanied-on compactness and compresses the eleven numbers to a powerful half hour, in which the simple, beautiful solo of “You Need To Shine” represents the highest level of compositional decoration. But it does not need that many CONTRACTION CATCHINEST-in the arms of which 80s REM fans can also throw.
