Is everything very quickly in the negotiations of FC Bayern with a top performer Joshua Kimmich? According to reports, there is now progress.
Joshua Kimmich and FC Bayern Munich – now everything looks like a long stay of the international on Säbener Strasse. Because Sky reported on Thursday evening: There are new developments in the contract poker between the player and the club.
Accordingly, both sides are said to have reached an agreement in talks on Thursday in the club center of the German record champions. Bayern therefore only prepare the final contracts, and Kimmich’s contract extension will then be officially announced promptly.
According to Sky, Bayern and Kimmich agreed on a new four -year contract, which is to run until 2029.
Already on Thursday evening, Sky, the Munich “TZ” and the “Bild” unanimously reported, that everyone involved was willing to extend the contract of the 30-year-old until June 30th. Now more details would be discussed, they work to find a final agreement. This is apparently the case a few hours later.
After the meeting, Hoeneß said when asked whether there was a decision in terms of Kimmich: “We only drank coffee.”
Even after the 3-0 in the round of 16 of the Champions League against Bayer Leverkusen, the injured missing Kimmich himself said: “The ball is not with me”, but at the club. The latter had recently withdrawn the offer to the supposedly too hesitant international, which CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen confirmed after the game in the stadium: “We already said that the contract was withdrawn. That is not a great news. That is.”
Kimmich has been playing for FC Bayern since 2015. At the end of the season he could also change free of charge. Other clubs played a role, said Kimmich after the Leverkusen game, without naming names. Paris Saint-Germain is considered a financially strong prospect. Kimmich emphasized the trusting conversations with Eberl, Dreesen and also sports director Christoph Freund. But now the signs are apparently on the remaining in Munich.
