A large power outage hit 650 households in Mierlo on Tuesday evening. The malfunction, which was reported around 6.21 pm, influences 34 postcodes in the Luchen district and the surrounding area. According to Netbeheer Enexis, it is a spontaneous malfunction. The affected households are without power due to a problem with a cable. In the meantime, part of the malfunction has been remedied, but the full recovery is expected around 8.30 p.m.

In the meantime, residents are creative in dealing with the situation. Candles and rechargeable lights provide lighting, while power banks keep phones and tablets running. In various houses, old -fashioned board games and card games are taken out of the closet to kill the time. Some residents also use the power from their electric car to make some devices work.
