Borussia Dortmund has to worry about the quarter -finals of the Champions League after a slump in the second half against Losc Lille. The team of coach Niko Kovac only came to a 1-1 (1-0) against the fifth in France in the round of 16, who was first started with Ethan Mbappé, the 18-year-old brother of Topstar Kylian Mbappé in the premier class.
Karim Adeyemi (22nd minute) had taken the Dortmund playing game before the break. After the break, Hákon Arnar Haraldson (68th) scored for the now stronger guests to compensate. The second leg in northern France will take place next Wednesday. Should Dortmund make the progress, there could be a duel with FC Barcelona and coach Hansi Flick in the round of the last eight.
With the last two Bundesliga wins in a row and a new defensive stability under Kovac, which had taken over the tumbling district giant a month ago, BVB went into the first leg with a tailwind. At first the Bundesliga -based game was determined. Lille, on the other hand, looked nervous at the first round of 16 in the premier class. It was only in the second round that the French accompanied by around 8,000 fans.
At Lille, Ethan Mbappé played a little surprisingly from the start, but could not set an accents. The guests only reminded the performance of the preliminary round after the break, in which they had qualified directly for the round of 16 in contrast to BVB as a seventh. There they had won against Real Madrid and Atlético, among others.
The lead for the black and yellow managed through a rich direct acceptance of Adeyemis from around 18 meters. The ball had jumped in front of the 23-year-old in front of a corner. It was the fifth Champions League goal for him this season. The following sometimes serious errors in Lilles in the structure did not use BVB for further hits until the break. The supposed 2: 0 by Pascal Groß after a corner was not given again due to offside in added time in the first half.

That the BVB was not more consistent before the break. Lille became braver after the break and no longer seemed that inhibited. When compensation, the recently so saddle -resistant defense of Dortmund acted anything but sovereign. Nothing went forward at BVB either.
