It was the expected duel Sweden against Norway – for the better end for Ebba Andersson. The Swede was able to defend her World Cup title in the skiathlon.

In a dramatic target sprint, Ebba Andersson from Sweden prevailed against Norwegian Therese Johaug. Bronze went to Jonna Sundling (SWE). Victoria Carl’s interpretation of the interpretation made it to the top ten.

The women’s skiathlon delivered absolutely. First there was the drama at the entrance to the last round when Heidi Weng and Jonna Sundling plunged and thus got the chance of gold. In the end there is a target sprint in which there were only centimeters between Ebba Andersson and Therese Johaug. In the end, however, the Swede was able to extend her leg a little better and thus won the World Cup title. Nevertheless, off the performance of the Norwegian, who is not known for her target sprint and still kept so strongly.

It was tight. As expected, Johaug was not able to drive out a big lead on the first ten kilometers in the classic style. When switching to the skating skis, Heidi Weng, Jonna Sundliing, Therese Johaug and Ebba Andersson were close. This group of four went together for a long time. Johaug spanned the top group like a locomotive and literally chased the opponents over the route.

Fall turns a duel to JOHAUG – Andersson

After 16.5 kilometers, Weng and Sundling fell. The two lost six seconds to the leaders. The decision on the world championship title should now be made between Johaug and Anderson. Johaug gave everything in the anti -gods and tried to hang out her competitor. But Andersson could not be shaken off. There was a sprint on the final straight – both cross -country skiers came to the finish line almost immediately – but Andersson prevailed with hair width. The Swede didn’t want to believe her title defense at first.
