Special labels on the new Marc O’Polo Denim – Curated by Lena Collection point out that a special fiber was incorporated into the collection for the first time: Orange fiber. Orange Fiber is a special cellulose fiber, which is obtained from wood and waste products of citrus juice production, and, according to Marc O’Polo, was used for the first time in a denim product.
“The search for more and more sustainable and innovative fibers drives us. Our goal is to create our most sustainable jeans. From the raw materials to the coloring processes and washing processes, ”says Susanne Schwenger, CPO Marc O’Polo SE. “Thanks to our expertise with sustainable materials, we were able to convince the Sicilian company Orange Fiber SRL to realize this, which is unique worldwide, together with us. For a year and a half we have now worked with a lot of passion and convinced and are very happy that we can now present these special capsule in the stores. ”
The newly developed material consists of eleven percent of Tencel Limited Edition X Orange Fiber, eleven percent regular Tencel Lyocell and 78 percent organic cotton and is characterized by its extraordinary softness and temperature adaptability.
The orange fiber from agriculture is obtained, which reduces the need for new raw materials. Thanks to a partnership with the Lenzing Group, the orange pulp is processed together with wood into textile fiber Lyocell.
It is the fourth cooperation between Marc O’Polo and de Influencer Lena Mantler.
