VfL Gummersbach celebrates the fourth competitive game in a row. The TBV Lemgo Lippe was also successful.
The VfL Gummersbach Has only 48 hours after the victory in the European League in the Handball-Bundesliga won. At HSV Hamburg there was a 37:30 (18:14) on Thursday and thus the fourth competitive game in a row. In the table, Gummersbach initially improved to eighth place.
Counterattacks help gummersbach
VfL was also wide awake in the fourth game within nine days. In the first quarter of an hour, the HSV was very equivalent, but then the Gummersbachers managed a three-goal run. The VfL settled gate for a five goal lead.
Too often, the hosts conceded simple goals, especially through quick counterattacks. Decision five minutes before the end
The second half started with a completely different game distribution: the HSV was suddenly significantly better than Gummersbach and crashed back within reach. After ten minutes, Hamburg was only two hits behind. But then the strong Dominik Kuzmanovic showed two strong parades at halftime – but Hamburg bit. For the time being, VfL did not manage to set itself down to more than three goals.
However, five minutes before the end, the hosts seemed broken – two goals by a quick movement ensured that VfL led with five goals lead. The supposed preliminary decision forced HSV coach Jansen for a break. But his team no longer came back, the success of VfL was safe.
Lemgo Lippe also wins
The TBV Lemgo Lippe was also able to win his Bundesliga game at TVB Stuttgart and stay ninth of the Gummersbachers on the heels. At 26:23 (13:13) the host was crucial for the game in the second round. In this phase, the TBV set itself up to a total of five goals and no longer gave this lead to the final siren.
