BTSV fans and 96 supporters demonstrate in Hanover

Eintracht Braunschweig fans want to protest against the reduced guest control again in the derby. They call a demo in Hanover. Just like the trailers of 96.
The fans do not want to let this sit on them: again, fewer guest fans are allowed to go to the stadium on March 9th at the Lower Saxony Sender between Hannover 96 and Eintracht Braunschweig in the state capital of Lower Saxony. As in the first leg in Braunschweig.
Similar to a few months ago, the BTSV supporters announced a protest march before the derbies. Under the motto “against guest fan restrictions – fan culture non -negotiates!” On Thursday, February 27, the fans want to march from the main train station in Hanover to the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior and Sport.
Numerous fans in Hanover want to demonstrate under the motto “For a free fan culture in Hanover, Lower Saxony and everywhere! Against the political restriction of guest supporters”. At the request of T-Online, the Hanover police declared that it is a fan march that is to take place between 5 and 6.30 p.m. Participants in the middle three -digit range would be expected.
The meeting starts with a ten -minute opening rally “on the lawsuit”, the police said. Then it goes via Otto-Brenner-Straße, Brühlstraße, Goethestrasse to Goetheplatz, from there via Humboldtstraße and Gustav-Bratke-Allee to the Waterlooplatz, on which there should be a ten-minute final rally.
The police also announced the Braunschweiger number of participants in the middle three -digit range, the police said in Hanover. The beginning is scheduled for 5 p.m. The route starts at Ernst-August-Platz/corner of Joachimstrasse and leads along the Ministry of the Interior, Schiffgraben and Lavesallee before returning to the starting point.
A opening rally at Hanover Central Station as well as intermediate classes on Schiffgraben and Lavesallee are planned. A final rally also takes place at the main train station, according to the police on request.
The following reason is the following reason: Minister Daniela Behrens (SPD), who had supported the decision to reduce the guest control to 60 percent, is significantly supported. Because of the repeated riots before, during or after the games between the rival clubs, she even called for a complete exclusion of guest fans at the derbies last year.
Already for the first leg in Braunschweig, only 1,260 instead of 2,100 96 supporters were allowed to buy a ticket. Then both fan camps demonstrated separately against each other. The ultras of both clubs stayed away from the derby. The BTSV fans also announced a boycott for the upcoming duel in Hanover.
The Hanover police department had ordered the partial exclusion in early February. At this decision, she relies on paragraph 11 of the Lower Saxony Police and Regulatory Authority Act, according to which she “can take the necessary measures to ward off dangers”.
With the fans, the decision is incomprehensible. “Again, this time we do not let this arbitrariness offer and take to the streets!” Says the demo call. “If we do nothing, we run the risk that this example will go to school nationwide. We demonstrate not only for ourselves, but for the entire German football fan culture that is non-negotiable.”
