Bundesliga: Lewandowski saves Bayern, but the lead remains solid

A half misstep, but the advantage remains considerable. Bayern Munich drew 1-1 at Hoffenheim (Baumgartner scored in the 32nd minute and Lewandowski scored in the 45th minute). The Bavarians are thus +10 from Dortmund second, but they have played two games less.

Even before the kick-off, the home crowd rejoices: on the big screen the renewal of Kramaric is announced until 2025. Nagelsmann opts for 3-4-2-1 with Musiala and Kimmich playing the game in the center, Coman and Gnabry wide and Sanè with Müller behind Lewandowski. Bayern increased the pressure and found the equalizer in the 45th minute: from Kimmich’s corner it was Lewandowski who hit the head and beat Baumann.

At the beginning of the second half Bayern pushed and, after a few seconds, would pass with Lewandowski, who deflected a shot from Coman into the goal, but staying offside. At 56 ‘Baumann is good at parrying an almost safe shot from Sanè. Two minutes pass and Kramaric wastes by kicking the ball from the heart of the area. Halfway through the second half, Gnabry has a good chance, but his shot ends up on the post. Bayern increases the pressure and touches the goal first with Musiala (winger) then with Müller (saving Posch on the line), but leaves room for the counterattack of Hoffenheim who almost scored in the 79th minute (extraordinary Neuer on Kramaric) . The race remains alive, but there are no more great opportunities. Bayern prove to be alive, but still have some balance problems. Or motivation, in a championship in which he also scores points by experimenting.
