Chile in darkness after malfunction: evening clock, traffic is stuck, hardly any internet

A huge power outage in Chile, the largest since 2010, has poured the capital Santiago and large parts of the country in the dark on Tuesday. The Chilean government has announced the state of emergency and set a curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 p.m. (local time). These measures apply from the northern region of Arica to the southern region of Los Lagos.
