A careless action by Niklas-Wilson Sommer had serious consequences. Now he breaks his silence.
Chapter 1. FC Nürnberg for Niklas-Wilson Sommer ended in mid-January. The influencer, which, in addition to his football career, set up a large social media range, dissolved his contract. “I had extreme panic attacks and massive problems with my privacy,” said Sommer the background in a Twitch stream.
The situation continued to come to a head and his family was drawn into the matter. “After a few weeks, my family was also contacted privately. That was the end of the end for me.” After the incident, summer was initially on sick leave. However, a sporting return to the FCN regional league team was no longer up for debate.
In mid -January, the club and players separated mutually. According to Sommer, the talks were “normal and friendly”. How it goes on for summer is still open. There was interest from the Austrian Bundesliga, but he decided against an offer.
Football is still in focus for him, but no longer in Germany. “I think the German market is closed for me personally,” says Sommer. It is much more important to him to find the fun of sport.
