Knauf says that the situation was aggravated by conspiracy theories. Catherine’s sick leave and the radio silence that started in January had made the whole world speculate on what the princess bothered – or was it even really sick.
– They did not want to say yet that he had cancer because they had not yet told their children. They were still trying to figure out how to tell the children, Knauf says.
Catherine said in September that her chemotherapy was completed. In January, he announced that cancer was remission.
Knauf worked for the court for many years. In 2015-2019, he served as Communications Secretary to William and Catherine. In 2019, for a few months, he was a senior advisor to William and Catherine. Knauf also commented in the interview how William approaches Harry’s numerous outputs over the years, in which he has criticized the court and his family hard.
