In the clear victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, two players had to be injured or struck off the pitch. After the game, fans got an update.

Bayern Munich carefully gave the all -clear after the initial great worries about Joshua Kimmich. The long-term burner had to be replaced in the Bundesliga top game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday after he had gone to the ground in the 42nd minute without an opponent. Kimmich, who was replaced by Leon Goretzka, was questionable for the game anyway.

Club president Herbert Hainer said a good hour after 4-0 (1-0) against Eintracht that he could “rather” give: “The doctors say it doesn’t seem that bad.” Sports board member Max Eberl reported that “Jo went into play, but he really wanted to. Jo has to carry his head down under his arm if he can no longer.”

Eberl added that the substitution because of a supposed muscle injury was “a precaution”: “It now looks like nothing worse, but of course care is needed.” Kimmich is also subjected to an MRI examination “to see if it is really nothing bad”.

The replacement of Jamal Musiala shortly after his goal to 3: 0 (82nd) was “rather mere precaution”, added Eberl. “He sits squeaky fidel in the cabin.”

Kimmich had not missed a minute until his substitution this season. A failure would hit Munich accordingly, especially since pioneering weeks are imminent. The next important league game is on the program at VfB Stuttgart next Friday (February 28th).
