Almost 900 people have signed an online petition against the arrival of a department store in the Babilliebeek valley in Roeselare. The valley has traditionally been a natural water buffer that occurs in the area in heavy rainfall. It is also important for biodiversity and is part of the blue green axis of the city. At the end of April the city must decide whether or not to approve the application.
