Bavaria’s sports boss has to save on salary

With the stars Jamal Musiala and Alphonso Davies, FC Bayern has recently extended. A contract extension with Joshua Kimmich is planned. But the club also has to pay attention to the money.
Important personnel decisions are currently underway at Bayern. Despite highly endowed contract extensions, sports director Max Eberl keeps the salary structure in mind.
“At the long end we try to keep a salary structure. We also try to reduce a bit for months and a half years. This is a goal that we have discussed on the board and the supervisory board,” said Eberl at Prime Video.
At the same time, Eberl emphasized that the club would invest for key players: “Players who make the difference that hopefully bring us titles.” Joshua Kimmich is an important part of the future planning. “He is a leading player in the future, if Manuel Neuer stops at some point, will become captain of FC Bayern,” continued Eberl.
Kimmich’s contract expires at the end of the season. Most recently, Bayern had already extended Jamal Musiala and Alphonso Davies’s contracts. Goalkeeper Neuer also remains another year in Munich.
