The four -time world champion Sebastian Vettel keeps the door open for a comeback in Formula 1. Already after his involuntary end of Aston Martin at the end of the 2022 season, the Heppenheimer knocked other alternatives in the premier class. Among other things, he was presented with Red Bull. However, his ex-employer immediately refused.
Does Sebastian Vettel return to Formula 1 again as a driver? The four -time world champion always left the door open for a comeback in the world’s largest racing series and explained in several interviews that nothing could be ruled out in life. It is not clear whether he really has the intention of getting in again in the premier class.
According to a report by the “F1 insider” portal, Vettel’s standard response to the future question is a serious one. The Heppenheimer has not yet deprived a return and assure its circle of acquaintances to feel fit enough for it. The four-time world champion, the portal writes, will continue to look for a “comeback facility”.
“Sebastian would like to have driven alongside Max Verstappen”
Even when it was clear in the 2022 season that Vettel’s trip at Aston Martin would end, the German was not ready to end his Formula 1 career. Among other things, he is said to have had discussions about a collaboration with Sauber/Audi and Red Bull. Ultimately, however, he received a cancellation from both teams. A decision that Red Bull consultant Helmut Marko still stands today.
“Sebastian would like to have driven alongside Max Verstappen. But that would have made no sense to protect him. Max would have made him clearly and Sebastian’s call. Insider”.
It is not foreseeable whether or where a Formula 1 door could open in the future. There is a lot to say that the 37-year-old will still have appearances in a racing car in the future. However, this more in races like the 24 hours of Le Mans and not in the premier class of motorsport.
