Owner Huseyin laughs on the phone to the question: “Has the burglar thrown a bottle of wine through the window?”
“That’s right! Last night a man appeared just before mid -night and hit the window with a bottle of red wine and two bricks. He grabbed a fatbike and ran away,” says Huseyin who saw the images of the theft.
Thief falls
De Buren heard the tinkle and contacted Huseyin’s father, who has been running the bicycle shop with his son since 2013. “I recently took over the case and my father is now in Turkey, so he called me. This has never happened to us. The thief has also fallen, that can all be seen on the images,” says Huseyin.
The bicycle repairman has reported the police, who did an investigation today. Huseyin cleaned up the damage and was just open again today. “The floor was full of red wine and there was a lot of glass. Why would I stay close. I am just open to repairs.”
The police say that the perpetrator has not yet been caught.
