No trains run between Assen and Hoogeveen during the spring break. ProRail then carries out work on the track. From Saturday 15 February to Friday 21 February, buses will therefore run instead of trains.
There is also an alternative timetable in and around Groningen. For example, there are no trains on the track between Groningen, Bad Nieuweschans and Veendam.
NS uses buses on different routes. Not only between Assen and Hoogeveen, but also from Groningen. There are signs that travel to the bus at the stations. There are also employees present to help travelers.
During the work on the track, stop buses are used between Assen, Beilen and Hoogeveen. Running buses run between Assen and Hoogeveen, just like between Groningen and Hoogeveen.
Travelers on the Zwolle – Groningen route are advised to take the express bus between Hoogeveen and Groningen.
