The German sporting goods manufacturer Adidas has developed a collection for Formula1 racing. Together with Mercedes-AMG Petronas, the collection was developed for the entire team and equips every member, from the driver to engineers and mechanics to fan.

The collection includes performance clothing for the team members who are tailored to their respective role. In addition, the collection consists of team and fan clothing, which is completed by a comprehensive range of performance and lifestyle shoes.

The highlight of the collection is the driver’s clothing for the drivers of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli. For them, Adidas wants to bring sporty and performance -oriented cuts to the paddock. With the styles, Adidas wants to represent the drivers as athletes and uses a light fabric with aeroready technology for the outfit, which is intended to support the athletes in remaining calm and concentrated at stressful moments.

The focus is on functions such as durability, flexibility and temperature management. A highlight for engineers is a light, technical polo shirt that has been made of breathable materials and replaces the classic white shirt.

The collection for the fans combines influences of streetwear with motorsport culture and includes loungewear, hoodies, tops and T-shirts as well as performance and lifestyle sneakers in a special edition. The collection is rounded off by a selection of technical and lifestyle caps. Further driver -related fan clothing should follow in the course of the year.

George Russell, driver of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team: “For us as a team, it is incredible to work with a brand like Adidas that really understands how it is to work at the highest level in sports. Your knowledge, your expertise and your attention to detail will only benefit us as a team and hopefully give us an advantage if we fight for racing wins and championships this season and beyond this season. ”
