On the proposal of Minister Uitermark of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, the Council of Ministers approved the appointment of 3 new members of the Advisory Course Legal Status Political Officials (Arpa).
The 3 new members are Mrs. ATB Bijleveld-Schouten, Mrs. L. Heres and Mr. MGT Pastors. From 1 March 2025, the new members will be appointed as a member of the advisory board for a period of 4 years.
The full advisory board has been compiled as follows:
- Mr AHG (Alexander) Rinnooy can (also chairman);
- Mr. GTM (Gerard) Greaten;
- Mrs. MS (Mijke) Houwerzijl;
- Mr. JP (Hans) Vollaard;
- Mr. JPH (Johan) Swimmer;
- Mrs. ATB (ANK) Bijleveld-Schouten;
- Mrs. L. (Leonie) Heres;
- Mr. MGT (Marco) Pastors.
The Arpa is an independent and permanently set advisory board that started in April 2022. The advisory board can advise the cabinet and parliament solicited and unsolicited on the (financial) aspects of the employment conditions of political office holders.
In the Lower House, a bill is pending in which the Arpa is given as an extra task of advising on follow -up positions from ministers.
