The German national ice hockey team has also lost the second test game against Slovakia. In Banská Bystrica in Slovak, the so-called perspective team lost to the Olympic third with 1: 3 (0: 1, 0: 1, 1: 1) despite an increase in performance. National coach Harold Kreis waived all top performers and used both games to test numerous players. On Wednesday, the selection of the German Ice Hockey Association was lost 0: 4.

“At this level it is the little things that make the difference,” said Kreis after the defeat on Wednesday. A day later, it also had a lack of gunfire. Noah Dunham from ERC Ingolstadt only hit the post with a penalty after almost a minute. The hosts did better: Rayen Petrovicky took the Slovaks in the lead after 14 minutes.

Germany despaired at the Slovak goalkeeper

The district team came to many good occasions compared to the previous day, repeatedly failed due to the Slovak keeper Eugen Rabcan. The opponent, however, is freezing: Martin Faško-Rudáš left Germany’s goalkeeper Hendrik Hane from the Iserlohn Roosters no chance and increased to 0: 2 (35 minute).

After all, Jimmy Martinovic made the first sense of achievement: the Wolfsburg defender scored 1-2 (43.) with a placed shot. Germany tried everything to equalize. However, Daniel TKAC marked the 3-1 final score (59.) shortly before the end.

Now test games against the current world champion

The next test games are already taking place as part of the World Cup preparation. On April 10th and 12th, the DEB selection will meet world champion Czech Republic. The title fights in Denmark and Sweden begin on May 9th. Germany starts in the tournament in Herning in Danish Hungary a day later.
