Emma Aicher also performed well in the second training session for the World Cup departure on Saturday.
The 21-year-old, who took fourth place on Tuesday when the route was first sniffed on Tuesday, drove the eight best time on Wednesday. Aicher was 1.35 seconds behind Miriam Puchner from Austria. Weidle-Winkelmann sees “still potential”
Kira Weile-Winkelmann (+1.91) improved from 28th place to 16th place compared to the day before: “There is definitely potential”she said afterwards and issued as a motto: “Stay focused, stay relaxed, even if the training sessions are now not as desired.”
The same applies to Lindsey Vonn (USA), who came back to 29th place this time (+3.13).
As the first competition for women, the Super-G is on the program on Thursday (11.30 a.m./ARD, Sportschau.de, Mediathek). “In the Super-G it was going quite well”Said Weidle-Winkelmann, who achieved her best season results (6th/8th) this winter in the second fastest alpine discipline. “I am happy”emphasized the 26-year-old, “Even if I only have an outsider role”.
