– I probably come to the muzzle, the writer Pirkko Saisio huff.
Speech on modern feminism is the time after the Me Too movement. Saisio attaches great importance to the Me Too movement, but there have been excesses.
“Young men born now are not guilty of the fact that women have been weak,” says Saisio.
He himself says he is a supporter of equality so that the most qualified and best chosen. Saisio does not want to attach himself to any island.
-In Sweden, women aged 30-45 are currently rewarded because it is “women’s time”. This should not be the case.
Rainbow horn
Pirkko Saisio’s first novel Lifestyle was published in the fall of 1975 and the first novel about the erotic relationship between women Daughter of Kain In 1984. For years, Saisio was one of the only publicly public homosexual artists in Finnish cultural circles and the horn of rainbow people. He is pleased that the cloak today is on more shoulders.
– There were a couple of three of us for years and I was a lot in public for a long time. It’s crazy to say that there is a lot of us if people don’t appear and always one and the same face repeats the message. I wanted to get out of that role, so it has happened and I’m proud of it, he says.
During Saisio’s long career as a writer, the rights of rainbow people have improved, but on the other hand, conservative values have raised their heads.
– There are fundamentalist religious movements and Päivi Räsänen, who has no arguments that would cause any human feelings, but otherwise things are really much better. Of course, this is not necessarily a permanent state, things can also turn worse, Saisio ponders.

Unreasonable ry
Now, at the age of 75, Saisio admits to spending a lot of time in Somme, reading comments from magazine stories and various chat discussions. He calculates that he has been in the middle of the so -called Someku. Saisio finds a paint that began with an interview with Helsingin Sanomat on Finnish taboos and polarization of society, or division. Many misunderstood Saisio and the journalist’s text intentionally.
– I got tens of thousands of barking messages and the buzz took my working ability for a long time.
The experience of getting into the eye of a storm makes you keep your own commenting under control.
– I do not write negative opinion on any individual, and I don’t even post cartoons Riikka from the bite.
According to Saisio, many celebrities, and especially politicians, are nowadays unreasonable.
– I do not understand why it is the case that the private life of celebrities is free. Why do I have to know that Jussi Halla-aho is an out -of -marriage child. It’s not my business at all. The resentment and punishment can be completely unreasonable. If a publicity person gets stuck in the wheel, the punishment is not to lose the driving license and pay fines, but the publicity, Saisio estimates.
However, in front of a nightclub, he is to tell about the shooting.
“Hanging in words”
In addition to endless resentment, society shows Pirkko Saisio, according to Pirkko Saisio, where people cannot look at the context and make interpretations on the wrong basis.
This was how he experienced, for example, when acting students at the Theater Academy refused to perform Shakespeare’s plays by justifying that the playwright promotes rape.
– Being dealing with a subject does not mean that you accept it. Hanging in words and not looking at the context. Something incomprehensible happens here.
Saisio believes that a variety of phenomena must be dealt with in theater and culture.
– There must be authentic people. Even a 5-year-old child understands that they present something other than they really are.
In a small Portuguese village, few know Finland. Not all adults can read well. Inka Soveri
On Monday, Saisio received the Vartio Prize in recognition of his “renewed literary production that is still reaching new generations”. After the holiday, he returns to Madeira, where Saisio has spent winters of his spouse film director Pirjo Honkasalo With almost 20 years. They have met the residents of a small Portuguese village by attending church.
A German neighbor even hoped that Saisio and Honkasalo would find a Finnish buyer in his house.
– It was very flattering for us when they said that trying to arrange a Finn to buy a house when we were the first Finns they knew.
One village also knows Sanna Marin.
– A neighbor’s young woman who speaks good English and is the only civilized person in the village, knows who Sanna Marin is.
