Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach has secured Jens Castrop’s services.
The German U21 international comes from second division club 1. FC Nürnberg in the summer and receives a contract until 2029. The Gladbacher announced on Sunday.
“Jens is a flexible, very talented midfielder and a really good footballer,” said Mönchengladbach’s managing director Sport Roland Virkus: “We trust him to take the next step and are very happy that he is looking forward to the move to Borussia decided. “
Castrop, trained at Gladbach’s Rhenish rival Fortuna Düsseldorf and 1. FC Köln, has been playing for Nuremberg since early 2022.
In the current season, he has been running 17 times in the 2nd Bundesliga and scored three goals. Castrop has passed all junior national teams of the German Football Association since the U16.
