A regional passenger plane crashed on Wednesday evening local time after a collision with an American army helicopter in the Potomac River near Reagan National Airport, just outside the American capital Washington. There would have been 60 passengers and four crew members on board the plane, three soldiers would have manned the army helicopter. A massive search and rescue operation is underway.
