Spain’s national football coach Luis de la Fuente has extended his contract until 2028.
The 63-year-old is to look after the national team until after the European Championship in three years, the Spanish football association RFEF said on Monday (27.01.25).
“The Spanish Football Association has decided to pronounce Luis de la Fuente that it will continue as a national coach until after the European Championship 2028,” said the association.
Victory in the Nations League and EM title
The 63 -year -old has been working for the Spanish association since 2013 – first he still looked after the youngsters. Since the end of 2022, the Spaniard has been active in his current coaching role, which he had taken over by Luis Enrique.
He led the A national team to the European Championship title last summer. In the quarter -finals, the Spaniards threw the host out of the tournament. DE la Fuente had previously won the Nations League with the Spanish team.
