The German ski jumpers won the only “Super Team” competition of the season.

Agnes Reisch (Isny) and Selina Friday (Aue) prevailed on the normal hill on the mountain of Zao in Yamagata in Japanese with 647.4 points just before Norway (643.2) and Austria (643.1).

With a strong last jump to 99.5 m, Reisch secured the decisive leadership to the DSV duo. The Norwegian Eirin Maria Kvandal (102.5) was the only one to jump on on Saturday with even less attempt, but fell – that cost Team Norge. The two Germans did not achieve the best score in any round, but also showed no weaker jump.

National coach Heinz Kuttin had prescribed a break from his top jumper Katharina Schmid. The world champion has to struggle with major problems in the start -up and had only become 16 in the first individual on Friday. On Sunday (8:00 a.m.) Schmid has a second chance in the final individual.

The “Super Team” three jumpers per nation compete in three rounds. At the 2026 Olympic Games, the mode for men replaces the usual team competition with four jumpers. The women only jump there in singles and as part of the mixed team. At the World Cup in Trondheim (from February 26th), the “Super Team” is not in the program.
