A moving van caught fire this morning. This happened on the Hoofdstraat in Exloo.
The driver noticed smoke while driving and parked the vehicle in a parking lot. Shortly afterwards the van completely filled with smoke. The fire brigade arrived quickly and managed to extinguish the fire.
Although the fire was quickly brought under control, the vehicle sustained heavy damage. The fire mainly raged on the inside of the van, in the dashboard. No one was injured.
It is not known how the fire could have started.
