Based on the novel of the same name by Matthew Quirk and created by producer Shawn Ryan (The Shield), The Night Agent 2 one is confirmed gripping spy story full of action, late night phone calls and constant surprises. At the center of the story there are still the exploits of the young and tough Peter Sutherlandinvolved in reckless political interference and spy warfare.

After foiling a conspiracysaved President Travis (Kari Matchett) and found the mole hidden in the White House, FBI agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) levels up and gets the promotion he deserves. Just 10 months after these turbulent events, he became in effect an 007 of the agency most prestigious and secret intelligence, the Night Action.
Despite all-too-brief training and the righteous skepticism of his new supervisor Catherine (Amanda Warren), he is immediately used in a key role. An impossible or almost impossible mission, paired with the volcanic colleague Alice (Brittany Snow). The two fly undercover in Bangkokposing as newlyweds.
Everything seems to be going well, Alice and Peter head towards their target, a character suspected of trafficking in weapons and giving away government documents. In order to track him down, Catherine asks the President for help but every attempt is in vain. It is Rose (Luciane Buchanan) who finds him. A stranger called her on the phone telling her that Peter was in danger and she, with her technological knowledge, intercepted him. The two, after the farewell kiss, have not seen each other for months. Despite the distance and many personal changes, the feeling is the same as always.
Peter doesn’t want to put her in danger and tries not to involve her in his problems. The troubles, however, are not of the same opinion. The two are literally catapulted into an international intrigue between jackals, experimental weapons that have fallen into the wrong hands and yet another traitor within the Night Action.
Noor comes to their aid (Arienne Mandi) an assistant who works for the Iranian governmentabout to speak at the next United Nations congress. The woman brings Peter information that they would indicate an unclear link between Iran’s upright ambassador and a representative of the American government. But Noor, in return some photos that immortalize the meeting between the two and the exchange of documents, wants the United States, in just two days, help their brother and mother escape from their country of origin.
The Night agent 2, the review
You don’t change the team that winsor almost. Gabriel Basso returns as Peter Sutherland angrier, loner and more combative than ever. Likewise, compared to the first season, The Night Agent 2 takes up the major themes of the spy story amplifying the action scenes and intrigues to the limit. The high level of writing he put the series on the same level as Homeland And Jack Ryan.
What they have in common is careful psychological research and in-depth analysis characters like that as the non-secondary presence of a political plot very contemporary. The distinct strength of The Night Agent 2 is that each character combines strength and vulnerability. No one is a hero or villain without redemption.
