A user’s single request can be multiplied into several thousand requests on the victimized site. OpenAI’s ChatGPT search robot is apparently capable of causing denial of service attacks on random websites, The Register reports. The company has not yet commented on the matter in any way. According to German cyber security researcher Benjamin Flesch, a user can cause a multiple number of requests to a web page with one http request of the ChatGPT interface. Requests are implemented by ChatGPT’s search robot, which searches for answers for the user on different sites.
