Turkey’s Sejde Abrahamsson opened the score after twelve minutes, after which Iceland’s Lara Pedersen doubled Bruges’ lead fifteen minutes later. The 25-year-old Vanmechelen further expanded the score in the 28th and 70th minutes.
“We really wanted to win this match, you could see that. We were aggressive from the first minute. We missed a goal in the first minute, but after the first goal it was only a matter of time before the others would come.
