The 60-year-old driver of the truck that overturned in a single-vehicle accident on the Kapellekensbaan in Alphen on Wednesday afternoon has died. The police confirm this. According to the company where the man worked, he died on Friday evening.
The man came from the Gelderland municipality of West Betuwe, the police reported. He was removed from the cabin by emergency services after the accident and was seriously injured.
No other people were involved in the accident. It was a long truck with special transport.
It is not yet known how the one-vehicle accident could have happened.
