Sanne Wallis de Vries attracts little attention with her new quiz at the public broadcaster, and according to critics, this is partly because of her. “But in the meantime she will get about 60 thousand euros for it!”
It has been about nothing else for days on the analysis channel of ratings authority Tina Nijkamp: the terribly poorly viewed daily quiz by Sanne Wallis de Vries. This quiz, called De Cirkel, takes place at a time when Per Seconde Wijzer has been extremely successful for years. But those viewers are not enthusiastic about Sanne and her program.
Canal belt
The viewing figures have dropped considerably, according to Tina. For example, only 233 thousand people watched on Wednesday. “That is really bad for NPO 2 at that time at 7.50 p.m., because it normally has Per Seconde Wijzer and that has a stable audience of about 500 thousand viewers. With Het Mes Op Tafel even 700 to 800 thousand viewers, so this is very little.”
She continues in her podcast Tina’s TV Update: “It doesn’t surprise me, because Sanne Wallis de Vries plays a presenter, while she is one. She also has such a cynical undertone that makes you think: does that fit on NPO 2 and does that fit outside the Amsterdam canal belt? Yes, I don’t think so.”
Where is Astrid?
Tina thinks you should have put Astrid Joosten on this. “I actually really wonder: why doesn’t Astrid Joosten just present this? Of course she has plenty of time. She actually only presents Twee voor Twelf and last year Onderaan de Streep, some kind of panel quiz of eight episodes, but that is it.”
“She is now employed permanently and receives €200,000 deposited into her account every year. So she doesn’t actually have to do much for that. Maybe twenty days before Two to Twelve in the studio and that’s it. I’m sorry she doesn’t do it. I think it would have been much better viewed.”
60 thousand euros
Astrid has a lot of quiz experience. “She is of course a serious quiz master and can do it really well. You can also see it in Two to Twelve; That is really a great success thanks to her, so I really think it is a missed opportunity from BnnVara.”
Especially because Sanne also costs a lot of money. “Yes, it is also extra expensive, because Sanne Wallis de Vries is of course not there for nothing and it is possible that she earns around 60 thousand euros from it. That’s also a shame, isn’t it? They wouldn’t have had to spend that otherwise, because Astrid Joosten is already employed.”
Cynical tone
Sanne also has no fans at RTL Boulevard. Luuk Ikink in particular is involved podcast critical of that program. “Such a cynical tone, eh… She is a comedian and has a bit of a cynical tone during such a quiz, she thought that would be fun at BnnVara, but then I think: is that what you are waiting for as a viewer? in that tone at a quiz?”
