The 17-year-old boy was beaten and kicked by seven other young people at the Burgemeester Graaf Leopold Lippenspark during the Christmas holidays. He had asked a girl for nude images via social media. The suspects therefore wanted to teach him a lesson.
The fight was filmed, and with those images the police were able to track down the minor perpetrators. Seven young people were arrested, four of whom had to appear before the juvenile court on suspicion of intentional assault and battery and extortion. He referred two young people to a closed institution, the other two were placed under house arrest.
