Past: Ajax – RKC: 2-1
In progress: PSV – AZ: 0-1

First, Luuk de Jong heads high, after which a few minutes later Ismael Saibari shoots high over the goal. AZ tries to slow down PSV’s pace by stalling.

Goalscorer Mayckel Lahdo leaves. His replacement is Ruben van Bommel.

PSV came out of the dressing room fresh. For the time being, AZ has no answer to the attacking game, but Owusu-Oduro makes a catty save on a hard long shot from Richard Ledezma.

Can AZ hold on to their lead in the second half when they visit PSV? We’ve started again.

The first half is over in Eindhoven. AZ leads through a goal by Mayckel Lahdo, which is not even undeserved given the odds.

Mayckel Lahdo dribbles in and plays devastatingly. AZ takes the lead in Eindhoven!

PSV is increasingly approaching half of AZ, but the Alkmaarders are holding out for the time being.

AZ can breathe a sigh of relief there. Ledezma comes through dangerously and passes the ball to Saibari. He heads from the center spot wide of the Alkmaarders’ goal.

David Møller Wolfe received a red card in the first leg, but has now been given a yellow card and a warning from Danny Makkelie.

Alexandre Penetra misses a deep pass and Ismael Saibari runs after it. However, goalkeeper Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro is out of his goal in time to nip the chance in the bud.

After a brilliant attack, the ball is tapped away just before the goal line by Richard Ledezma. Once again Troy Parrott has no luck in his finishing.

A few minutes later, Seiya Maikuma is completely free in the box. However, he shoots high. Strong phase from AZ.

David Møller Wolfe puts him well ahead of Troy Parrott. The Irishman, who has a new coupe, initially heads straight for Walter Benítez. On the rebound he shoots it wide for an empty goal. There really could have been more people there.

Mauro Junior comes through on the left and tries to put Luuk de Jong into position. The striker just can’t head the ball, AZ is not yet sharp.

Ajax ultimately beats RKC 2-1. Ihattaren made it exciting, but the Waalwijkers did not get any further. The victory brings the Amsterdam team (temporarily) closer to PSV. The difference is three points. The Eindhoven team will start against AZ. A blemish on the victory is the sad exit of Owen Wijndal. He has to be carried off the field on a stretcher.

Ajax’s next opponent will be AZ in the KNVB Cup next Tuesday. You can follow that match in an extra broadcast of NH Sport on NH Radio.

RKC makes it exciting again in the Johan Cruijff Arena. Mohamed Ihattaren, of all people, gets the Waalwijkers back into the match.

Wout Weghorst thinks he can head the 3-0 into the goal, but does so from an offside position. His goal is disallowed. Just before that, Mika Godts, who did not look armpit fresh, left for Chuba Akpom.

With one match less, Ajax is closing in on leader PSV to three points. The Eindhoven team will soon be in action against AZ. The two title candidates will play against each other on March 30.

Very nice opportunity for RKC. Substitute club top scorer Oskar Zawada can head the ball in. With some effort, Ajax goalkeeper Remko Pasveer saves.

Ajax – RKC: 2-0

Mika Godts scores for Ajax, but the party is canceled. The left winger is offside at a corner.

Ajax – RKC: 2-0

Ajax was supreme in the first half. How will that go in the second half? One substitution for the Amsterdam team: Jorrel Hato out and Owen Wijndal in.

Ajax – RKC: 2-0

A much stronger Ajax enters the dressing room halfway with a 2-0 lead. Opponent RKC appeared dangerous once for goalie Remko Pasveer, but otherwise the danger came from the Amsterdam team. Goalscorers: Steven Berghuis and Kenneth Taylor.

Ajax – RKC: 2-0

Kenneth Taylor rewards his 100th league match with a goal. Just before half time he made it 2-0 by sliding.

Ajax – RKC: 2-0

Ten minutes before half time, Ajax gets away well. Sylvester van der Water has the equalizer on his shoes, but the attacker posts the ball over.

Ajax – RKC: 1-0

After a nice individual action, Mika Godts shoots the ball into the right corner, but RKC goalkeeper Joey Kesting makes a good save.

Ajax – RKC: 1-0

The ball ends up at the feet of Davy Klaassen via Brian Brobbey, Mika Godts. However, the midfielder sees that his shot is saved by the RKC goalkeeper.

Ajax – RKC: 1-0

After about fifteen minutes of play, Brian Brobbey can put his team at 2-0. The striker fails just before RKC’s goal. His header goes over.

Ajax – RKC: 1-0

Steven Berghuis neatly scores the penalty. As a result, Ajax has an early lead against RKC.

Ajax – RKC: 1-0

Brobbey is taken to the ground and that earns Ajax a penalty.

Ajax – RKC: 0-0

In front of its own audience, Ajax resumes the season as number two in the Premier League against bottom RKC.

Ajax – RKC: 0-0

On September 29, Ajax and RKC also faced each other. Then in Waalwijk. The Amsterdam team won the away game 0-2. The two goals came in the last fifteen minutes.
