Taylor Swift’s exhausting and mega-successful “Eras” world tour is a thing of the past. Time for her 35th birthday, which she celebrated on December 13, 2024 (strictly shielded, of course) in a black cocktail dress. Now the colorful celebrity platforms are calling for “Time for Travis”. And “finally relax”. Will she stick to it?
Said boyfriend Travis (Kelce), on the other hand, is in the middle of the National Football League (NFL) season in his position as tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and has to deal with the expected reaching of the final round. It’s not that easy to bring the life plans of hyper-successful people together.
“Good luck with that, but I’ll be at a football game.”
Questions about a wedding date between Swift and Kelce were also beaten around the proverbial bush. The last “New Heights” podcast with his brother Jason Kelce was primarily about sports, but that didn’t stop a caller named William from inquiring about a (rumored) time period. Wrapped in an anecdote. He cleverly asked the brothers what they thought of a fall wedding, as he had discussed this date with his own girlfriend. Ever the media professional, Travis Kelce replied, “Good luck with that, but I’ll be at a football game.”
And further: “I don’t actually know any people who got married in the fall,” he said in Wednesday’s episode (January 8). “My friends always do that in the summer.” And Brudi Jason added that they usually have to cancel when it comes to weddings that happen during the NFL season.
Jason, a retired Philadelphia Eagles football player, agreed and advised the couple to choose a weekend where their favorite team wouldn’t be playing against a formidable opponent. Bad memory on every wedding anniversary…
Wedding more important than sport?
Travis joked, “You shouldn’t force your friends to decide whether or not they have to sell their game tickets for that week.”
The sports brothers quickly fell into cheap life advice without really looking into their own (wedding) cards. Jason, a soon-to-be father of four children, added that “there are certain things in life that are more important than football. And if a wedding isn’t more important than exercise, then we’ve got some bigger problems here.”
Of course there was also a lot of talk about football. The brothers discussed the first round of the NFL playoffs and answered another burning, intimate, “not stupid” question from a caller. She wanted to know what happened to the usual jockstrap. “I don’t think you guys wear them anymore. You can just see everything hanging and moving, oh my goodness…”
“I don’t know what happens to the genitals as much as this woman does,” a stunned Travis replied. “But when it comes to the games, please pay attention to how you want to see it. I’m in no position to judge…”
