Dennis Schröder plays solidly and wins with the Warriors, Maxi Kleber also wins an NBA victory with the Mavericks. Tristan da Silva, on the other hand, loses with Orlando.
The Golden State Warriors with basketball world champion Dennis Schröder have returned to the race for the playoffs in the West of the NBA. The ninth-place team narrowly won against the Detroit Pistons 107:104.
Superstar Stephen Curry had a poor evening for his standards in the Little Caesers Arena and only hit five of 21 shots – but had nine rebounds and six assists.
13 points from Dennis Schröder
Alongside top scorer Buddy Hield (19 points), Schröder played a solid game and put up 13 points, six assists and one steal as a starter. For the Pistons, Cade Cunningham was the best thrower of the game with 32 points.
The Warriors recently lost two home games within three days, drawing the displeasure of some fans.
Kleber wins with Mavericks
Thanks to a late 16-0 run, the Dallas Mavericks celebrated their second home win in a row. In the absence of star players Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving, Maxi Kleber’s team won against the Portland Trail Blazers 117:111.
Kleber only played a minor role with two free throws and two rebounds in just under twelve minutes of playing time. However, another bench player became a game changer: Jaden Hardy put up 25 points and became his team’s best thrower. With a record of 22:16, the Mavericks are fifth in the Western Conference.
Orlando loses with da Silva as starter
The Orlando Magic are one place above in the East. However, the team of the currently injured brothers Franz and Moritz Wagner lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 89:104 at their home Kia Center.
Rookie Tristan da Silva started again for the Magic, but only hit two of his nine attempts and none of five from the three-point line. In addition to six points, the 23-year-old recorded nine rebounds – the best value for his team.
