For the 50th anniversary of its digital watches, the Japanese manufacturer of electronic consumer goods Casio is releasing a very special model for which one finger is enough.
The company presents the “CRW-001-1ER,” a mini digital watch that is worn as a ring on the finger, Casio announced on Thursday. The piece from the “Timeless” collection is based on the metal style of G-Shock. Three tiny buttons switch from the date display to a second time zone or to the stopwatch function and the display can also be illuminated in color.
It’s not the first ring the company has released. As early as 1946, Kashio Seisakujo, the predecessor of Casio Computer Co. Ltd., developed the ‘Yubiwa Pipe’ ring. This piece has an attachment with a mouthpiece for cigarettes.

The “CRW-001-1ER” model will be available from January 22nd in the Casio online shop, in G-Shock stores and at selected retailers for 119 euros. However, the purchase is reserved for registered Casio ID members.
