In the comedy special, Jamie Foxx discusses his life – including a medical emergency in April 2023. The 57-year-old had hardly spoken about the incident until the stand-up program was recorded. He revealed additional details on the Golden Globes carpet. His chances of survival are said to have been five percent. Foxx learned this from a nurse treating him for brain bleeds and a heart attack. According to him, she started immediately when she saw him. When he thanked him, she said, “Why are you thanking me? You’re nothing special – I do this for everyone who comes into the hospital here.”

He also praised his two daughters, who were there for him in difficult times and later accompanied him to the Golden Globes. “I say this all the time: When you dream about who you want to be, you don’t dream about tragedies,” he said. “You dream of the good things, the greatest life in the world. However, Foxx never confirmed this and such a passage is missing from the published version of the evening.
