Patty Brard believes Angela de Jong’s fierce criticism of Glennis Grace’s media presence is unjustified. “I was in the dressing room with her, she knows exactly what she did wrong.”
They became great friends during the recording of Ranking the Stars: Patty Brard and Glennis Grace. So big that the singer has been invited to Patty’s Panther Party, which takes place in March in the Ziggo Dome. An important one nibble so for the Whitney Houston impersonator, who is still boycotted in many other places.
Patty’s Soundtrack
Patty supports her invitation. She chimes in Show news: “It will be a kind of soundtrack to my life and I recently met Glennis and I found her very calm and nice. I just think she fits the Hollywood theme very well in that soundtrack.”
Colleague Evert Santegoeds then points to critics such as Angela de Jong, who think that Glennis’ performance is scandalous: “What did you think of that criticism that Ranking the Stars turns the whole Jumbo incident into entertainment?”
‘It wasn’t!’
Patty thinks that criticism is unjustified. “That wasn’t the case, because she actually made a joke about Sébas Diekstra about how expensive lawyers are.”
Evert: “That was fun.”
Patty: “That’s what I thought too. She never meant at all…”
Tooske Ragas: “We have to explain it, otherwise people won’t know what it’s about.”
Dressing room
Evert explains the joke that Glennis made. “It was about: how much do people have to spend? And Sébas Diekstra was her number one priority, because, she said: ‘I know what you cost per hour.’”
Patty: “And she didn’t put down a victim or anything, it was purely as a joke. And I’ve been in the locker room with her, she knows exactly what she did wrong. She has done her punishment, done.”
