47-year-old director Jeff Baena died in early January. He committed suicide.
Baena’s spouse is an actor Aubrey Plazawhich is known for example from the hit series The White Lotus.
Plaza understandably missed the Golden Globes on Monday, but now she is commenting on her husband’s passing.
– This is a completely incomprehensible tragedy. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered their support, Plaza says in a joint statement with Baena’s family.
Baena’s assistant found him dead on Friday. Baeana had died in her own home in Los Angeles.
Baena made his directorial debut with the film Life after Bethin which Plaza played one of the leads.
They also made other films together.
They got married in 2021 after being together for 10 years.
